Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Ram 3500 lineup includes the work-ready Tradesman with chrome bumpers and 18-inch steel wheels. The Big Horn adds chrome grille surrounds and upgraded 18-inch aluminum wheels. The Laramie features body-color bumpers and LED fog lamps. The Limited Longhorn includes a unique chrome mesh grille and two-tone paint options. The top-tier Limited model has a premium chrome grille and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels.
Engine (Power)
The 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel engine generates 430 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque. This powerplant features significant improvements, including a re-engineered block and cylinder head, heavy-duty pistons, a new performance intake manifold, a revised turbocharger, larger intake and exhaust valves, and a higher-pressure fuel system for enhanced durability. The 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 produces 405 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, paired with a column-mounted shifter. Both engines work with the new ZF Torqueflite HD eight-speed automatic transmission, improving acceleration times by 1.1 seconds.
Performance
The 2025 Ram 3500 delivers exceptional capability with a maximum gooseneck towing capacity of 36,610 pounds with the diesel engine. The truck can handle up to 23,000 pounds for conventional towing, while payload capacity reaches 7,590 pounds with the gas engine. Acceleration improves to 6.9 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. The HEMI V-8 achieves 14 to 16 mpg in the city and 19 to 22 mpg on the highway, while the Cummins diesel gets you 15 to 17 mpg in the city and 20 to 25 mpg on the highway.
Interior
The new Uconnect 5 system runs five times faster than its predecessor, displayed on screens ranging from 8.4 inches in the Tradesman, Big Horn, and Lone Star trims to 14.5 inches in the Limited Longhorn and Limited models. A segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen adds convenience, the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster provides clear information, and a digital rearview mirror improves visibility. The interior also has dual wireless phone charging, a 2.4-kilowatt power inverter, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system includes Amazon Alexa integration for voice commands. Premium materials appear throughout, with leather seating and wood accents in higher trim levels.
Safety Features
Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning-plus. The ParkSense system assists with parking maneuvers, while drowsy driver detection helps maintain alertness. Additional features include traffic sign recognition, active lane management, and a 360-degree camera system. Lane-keeping assist and forward collision warning provide extra protection. Towing-specific safety features include an integrated trailer brake controller and trailer sway control.
