A Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) CDJR isn’t the same thing as a used car. While both types of vehicles have had previous owners, that’s as far as the similarity goes. As your CDJR dealership, we want you to know about some of the Certified Pre-Owned benefits you’ll receive when you buy a CPO vehicle from us.

Rigorous Inspection

Not every vehicle can make the grade and become a CPO. A vehicle must be five years old or less and have 75,000 miles or fewer on the clock to be considered for certification. If these requirements are met, a CDJR-trained technician will meticulously perform a physical examination of the vehicle and complete a detailed checklist.

The checklist has 125 points, and a CPO must score full marks. The technician examines the exterior detailing and condition, the interior condition, and under the vehicle. A pre-road test involves examining the vehicle’s systems to ensure they’re working correctly before it’s driven on the road to assess its performance. If it passes all these tests with flying colors, it’s awarded CPO status.

CARFAX Buyback Guarantee

A vehicle title not only proves ownership, but it also provides vital information on a vehicle’s condition. If a vehicle has been seriously damaged, has high mileage, or meets certain other criteria, the DMV adds a brand to the title. Brands don’t necessarily mean something is wrong with the vehicle or it’s unsafe to drive, but it’s essential as a buyer that you know if a vehicle’s title carries a brand.

CARFAX provides vehicle reports for every CPO CDJR. The report shows if the vehicle has any brands, allowing you to make a fully informed decision on whether you want to buy it. If a CPO’s CARFAX report has no brands on its title and is later found to have a major issue that was not listed in the report, CARFAX will buy the vehicle back from you.

Warranty Protection

All CPO vehicles carry warranties. The Powertrain Limited Warranty protects the engine, transmission, and drivetrain components against any unforeseen issues. It applies for seven years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. If any warranty-related issue were to develop, the problem will be repaired at no cost.

You also receive a Maximum Care Coverage Warranty, which applies for three months or 3,000 miles. It has a $100.00 deductible and covers you against the unlikely event that any repairs are required. In addition, 24/7 Sign-and-Go roadside assistance is available when you purchase a CPO.

These are just a few of the many reasons to choose a CPO CDJR. Visit us today at Snethkamp CDJR in Redford, MI, and test drive a CPO today.
